Season's Greetings and well wishes.

This year has been one of huge change for me. 

Some of it good, some not so good. A lot of it involved relationships: some ending, some beginning, some being renewed, some being made stronger. As with all relationships, emotions have run high and low.

Thank you to all those who have helped, if in even a small way, to make my Second Life time more pleasurable, more interesting and more enriching. Thank you to those who looked out for me.

As we bid farewell to this year and look forward to what adventures the coming year may bring, may your New Year be filled with happiness and joy, health and prosperity.

Bedlam in Babbage: Winterfest!

All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey, and there's a distinct chill in the morning air.

Winter is Coming!

Winter in Babbage

Winter in Babbage would be my favourite time of year. People make the effort to add snow on all their buildings and the decorations go up.

Of course it also helps to offset the fact that my typist has moved into summer and is often dealing with high summer temperatures while looking at snow on the screen.

There's also lots of parties and events at this time of year. Much like real life.

Snow comes to New Babbage!

The annual scramble for extra prims has begun in earnest in New Babbage as winter arrives in full force.



I love this time of year, quite possibly because my typist has never had to shovel his car out from under the snow before leaving for work, or has been unable to travel because of the roads being iced over.

Still, the festive spirit has begun and I'm looking forward to seeing how things look.

Antipodean Winter

The nation of Victoriana celebrated Yule in July for those of us caught in the antipodes and "suffering" through winter at the moment. Well *I* think 4 degrees is cold. My brain just doesn't comprehend this -35 stuff.

Anyway. My Duchess and I headed over to enjoy the sights and to see if I could pretend that my careening out of control teakettle on the ice was not aiming for Mayor Lindsay. I even had a tiny kitten run out to view the shiny car and manage to only just survive a close brush with an axel.



Sadly RL kept me away from the Yule Ball but I hear it was a good night.

For those of you wanting to indulge in snowball fights and chipmunk carolling the Winter in July lasts a few more days.

Ice skating and Rez Days

Monday night was Her Grace of Middlesea's Rez Day. The Duke of Greystoke took the opportunity to set up his skating rink and invited Caledonians to come down and strap their skates on. He also asked me to provide some suitable music for the evening.

The setting was wonderful, with Her Grace looking charming in her white fur attire being accompanied by His Grace around the ice.

Lady Primbroke was especially happy that snow and skating were back in Caledon as she had purchased skates last year a mere two days before a sudden thaw saw all of Caledon launch into an early spring. Hopefully there will be some snow on the ground a little longer than New Years this year.


Miss Tombola puts all her "flying by the seat of her pants" skills towards some impressive moves on the ice.


Mr. Offcourse and Lady Gustafson practice some synchronised spinning.

I received many compliments on the choice of music for the evening, which included, Ravel, Strauss, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Mozart.
