An Old West Fantasy

Sadly RL has kept me from many dances and events of late but I still enjoy heading out for a dance.

Last Friday was a Fantasy theme for Steelhead. The sort of things you find inside the mushroom ring. Not the sort of thing involving PVC nurses uniforms.

Miss Laval, Editor of the Steelhead Anvil, looking very purple.

Otenth, the Duke of Murdann, in a tumble dried dragon

Miss Riven Holmwood

Yours truly as a nasty Redcap. There were several comments of "Eeewww" after I explained how they got their caps red.

Christine, looking rather elfin.

O'Toole the troll

Maev Ceawlin as a student of Hogwarts.

Melissa

Miss Katt

Searra Weatherwax

The one thing worse than going away in Steelhead is announcing you're going away before you actually do. As the Duchess of Loch Avie discovered :-)

The Duchies anniversary

Last Friday saw the first anniversary of the arrival of the original four Duchies in Caledon. Lionsgate, Carntaigh, Primverness and Loch Avie were the first void sims in Caledon and also the first sims to be held in trust by an individual rather than a group of people.

To celebrate the event Her Grace of Primverness hosted a Renaissance Ball.

Her Grace of Lionsgate (Her Lyoness), Her Grace of Primverness and Her Grace of Carntaigh were in attendance.

His Grace of Murdann, resplendent in his Tudor gown.

Myself and the Lady Primbroke waltz for the evening.

Miss Widdershins, publisher of Prim Perfect magazine

Sadly the Duchess of Loch Avie was unable to join in the celebrations due to RL commitments, however we certainly had a fabulous evening all the same.

May they rule for a further year in peace.

Racing in Murdann

High above the Duchy of Murdann on Saturday morning, His Grace played host to buggy races. I had missed the first race, but the next was between Miss Poppy in her seahorse powered buggy and His Grace in an AKK carriage.

Miss Poppy's seahorse was not liking the altitude, and was almost as slow as Hotspur's Hunly. This prompted me to make comments about getting around the track in a wheelchair. Which was taken up as a challenge.

Those little model A cars are rather zippy. Not having one myself I went for the mid-life crisis vehicle. All I needed was a blingtard in the passenger seat.

After that this just started to get silly.

You know it's not a good day when your steam elephant gets beaten by a Llama. Well done Lady Gustafson!

Harvest Festival events

The scarecrow entries for the harvest festival are in. There was even a last minute ring-in who was waaaay over the prim limits. I think AzA's hair by itself would be more that 30 prims.

Scarecrows in Steelhead.

This evening also saw the first day of the Caledon boat races. Sadly I was unable to make the first sail race due to delays with the Steelhead town meeting, but I was able to attend, and entered the second race of steam.

Some of the onlookers for the races.

Thanks to the Steamray Victory was mine.

With Hotspur O'Toole bringing up second place.

Caledon expands again!

This week saw the addition of 5 new sims to the Caledon family. Making a total of 24 sims (with yet more on the way!) I don't know where the Guvnah finds the time or the energy.

Caledon Stormhold. Inspired by the novel Stardust by Neil Gaiman, though not based on it. Soon to be home to teaming masses.

Caledon Sound, home to Her Grace Carricre Wind.

Caledon Speirling. Home of the Marquessates of East and West Speirling. For those keeping track of titles we now have Darkling Elytis, The Marchioness of West Speirling, and Kirawill Collingwood, The Marchioness of East Speirling. (Lady Speirling is gentler on the tongue than "Lady East Speirling" I think).

The new home of Gloire Thibaud, Her Grace The Duchess of Middlesea.

And finally we have a Duke in Caledon. Otenth Paderborn, His Grace the Duke of Murdann
