New Babbage Fleetweek finishes
A great video created by young Loki capturing some of the events of Fleet Week.
Christine and I enjoyed the Uniform Ball after the day spent racing submarines around the Vernian (Thanks to Miss Hienricks for the photo).
While timezones kill a lot of things with SL there was enough on during this week that even the small part I dipped into was great. 2nd place in the Submarine races and equal first prize for Best Uniform.
A hearty congratulations to all involved in making Fleet Week as success especially Miss Breezy and Mr. Cleanslate. Even my anticipated downside did not emerge.
Marvellous!

Shanghaid!
Mr. Ho Ping had asked me to create a shop for him in Steelhead Shanghai. After seeing my Pawnbrokers in Clockhaven he asked if I could incorporate some of the elements into the new building. Apparently a pawnbrokers would be a good front.
It's quite a good front I think. I even got the right character for Pawnbroker. I also installed ElfguardTM at his request.
Some bric-a-brac within the front shop.
Upstairs for Mr. Ho's offices
I've added the beds I was going to make back when the Taiyou was standing in Steelhead.

The actual Primgraph Press
Back in June I finished the offices for the Primgraph Press. At the time it was mused that it would be lovely if the Primgraph actually did have a Press.
In my spare time since I've dabbled with creating one. I had very little knowledge of how one worked. I knew how a Gutenberg press worked and I'd seen some very modern presses that sped a newspaper through in a matter of seconds. But, thanks to the aetherweb I have a far better understanding of how a 19th century press works.
Today however I was able to deliver to Miss Saffia the finished product. The Primgraph now has a scripted printing press to add that little extra flavour to the offices.
A very special thanks to Professor Avalanche for helping with the scripting.

Breakfast in Babbage - Schpooky Edition
This weekend's Breakfast in Babbage will be a double event. In addition to the usual collection of odd music and brain melting, it will also be Edward Pearse's 3rd Rez Day.
To help you get in the mood for the upcoming Hallowe'en festivities the music will be of the schpooky variety.
Join us at The Clarendon in New Babbage http://slurl.com/secondlife/New%20Babbage/210/63/103 from 8am to 10am this Saturday or tune in at http://steampunk.radioriel.org
Also, due to the slow creep of Daylight Savings, this will be the last Breakfast in Babbage. Watch this space for the time for next month's event ("Brunch" perhaps?)

Recent Additions to Pearse'd & Cut
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am proud to announce some recent additions to the range of merchandise available from my stores around the Steamlands.
First is the range of kilts and tartan skirts has had the New Babbage tartans added to it: Both the official Dress & Hunting tartans as well as two unofficial ones.
For the tinies I have released a version of my inventor's toolbelt with apron and goggles.
And finally I have added a 19th century fencing uniform. Based on the portrait of noted Swordmaster Captain Alfred Hutton. The foil is scripted for En Garde! A ladies version has been requested and will be available soon.

Riel Radio Theatre - Shadow Out of Time
A special presentation of the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society's dramatisation of Shadow Out of Time.
Dark Adventure Radio Theatre: The Shadow Out of Time brings Lovecraft's tale to life as it might have been adapted for radio in the 1930s. In the style of The War of the Worlds, The Shadow and their own At the Mountains of Madness (previously presented on Riel Theatre) and The Dunwich Horror, Dark Adventure Radio Theatre dramatizes HPL's story with a huge cast of professional actors, exciting sound effects and thrilling original music by Troy Sterling Nies (composer for The Call of Cthulhu). Journey across the globe and through strange aeons with Lovecraft's last major story: The Shadow Out of Time.

My wife, the griefer
My darling wife has been BANNED! Like all things Linden, getting the details of WHY is like getting blood from a stone. However the early reports indicate that some of her "scripted objects" within one of the Caledon sims were designated as potential griefing objects. Obviously her muffins were just too overwhelming.

Evil Party and Doctor O's return
The Evil Party organised by Bart Mouse. Lost of people seem to be interested in evil, despite claims to the contrary.
Dickins and I, with Dickens shilling for tips.
Gabi in her Martini glass
The tiny dancers of Miss Skytower and Bart were later joined by Miss Davis. Nice to see more tinies in Babbage.
My lovely Christine as Poison Ivy.
Lord Moses
Softpaw and Starchaser
Groupshot! We had to raise the sim limit over 50 at one point as people were still trying to get in!
Miss Breezy as Death.
Jimmy as Chucky (though if it was Bob I would have said not much of a stretch)
Kat Montpark
And just as we were wrapping up this fine party in an abandoned observatory, who should bust back in demanding we all get out of his house? Such poor manners.

The Rookery, Clockhaven
Some while ago I bought one of the last plots in Clockhaven on a whim. I've since been throwing together a small maze in my little pocket of the city.
The building consist of the Tudor building on the left through to the brown brick building on the right.
The arched alleyway and the entrance to the Pawnbrokers. It needs a name though. Maybe I.M. Hocking & Co.
Inside the Pawnbrokers.
It's still being built. I've set aside space for Christine to have an outlet of Rosehaven Recipes in there, I'm working on a flat for a tiny, and the connecting section to the Undercity.
But I'm enjoying building it. It's even been suggested to me that someone may wish to rent the upstairs rooms.
In the mean time I've starting work on Ho Ping's place in Steelhead Shanghai. Oriental building is new to me so this will be interesting.

Most amazing sculpt ever
Miss Emilly brought my attention to a sculpt display called the Grand Odalisque.
Possibly the most impressive sculpt I have seen in SL. For the most part sculpts are a mystery to me though the Aviatrix of Loch Avie is making them less so. I'm sure if I invested copious quantities of cash in various software applications I could do them with ease, or struggle through with free stuff like Wings for something more labour intensive.
However I don't think I'd ever be able to come up with something as impressive as this no matter how hard I tried.
I recommend visiting it in person. Damned impressive.
