This wonderful little ditty was spotted on Brass Goggles.

Also untouched by human hands...
New sim growth abounds as Steelhead's third sim arrives!
Steelhead Boomtown! I'm sure the name is pure coincidence and not named after one of Tensai's experiments
Now we have a little back yard for Rosehaven where my wife can grow her plants and keep chickens. If I'm really lucky the chicken noises won't carry across the sim border.

Pristine and (mostly) untouched by human hands
Caledon's newest sim arrived yesterday, nestling to the south of Tamrannock.
Caledon Downs will soon be bustling with builders, contractors, aborists and road crews, but for now it sits awaiting fate.
Time for me to update the map soon :-)

The longest wedding
Friday evening SLT I was in attendance for the nuptuals of Her Grace, The Duchess of Middlesea and His Grace, The Duke of Greystoke. There was a little delay (as these things invariably do) and as the bride to be walked over the threshold of the chapel, the world caved in. Us an and about 30,000 other users were suddenly booted from SL.
Some 26 hours later we tried again. Thankfully all was well this time around.
The redoubtable Groom, Gnarlihotep Abel
The blushing bride, Gloire Thibaud
Vows exchanged
Love proclaimed.
On behalf of Lady Primbroke and myself I wish the Duke and Duchess the very best for their life together.
May your sims be lag free and your avatars never ruth.

ANZAC Day
This year marks the 90th Anniversary of the end of the "War to end all Wars".
Sadly it didn't.
On April 25th 1915, as part of the Allied soldiers from the Allied forces of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed at the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey, in what was to become one of the more memorable military disasters from the First World War.
The end result being during the eight month stalemate, over 8,000 Australian and 2,700 New Zealand soldiers died, with the losses of some 21,000 British, 10,000 French, and nearly 85,000 Turkish troops.
News of the landing at Gallipoli made a profound impact on Australians and New Zealanders at home and the 25th April quickly became the day on which they remembered the sacrifice of those who had died in war.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Sadly it didn't.

Der Rote Baron
Last year I posted about an effect reel for an upcoming German film of The Red Baron.
Well it seems it has finally been released in Germany and there's now an English language trailer up on the official website.
Looking forward to seeing it.

SecondLife's new client now with Added Crap (tm)
I'm always amazed at some of the things that make it onto the lists of Things To Do (TM) when Linden Lab makes a new client.
Despite literally thousands of Jira posts and requests, I don't ever remember hearing people clamouring for a more hideous colour scheme.
Yes the last one was shades of grey, but it didn't distract you from the viewer window and let you concentrate on the surrounds.
This new "Dazzle" Client Release is jarring in it's colour scheme and managed to crash me twice within 10 minutes of logging on. I hadn't even left the sim yet!

Sunken Steelhead
Steelhead beneath the waves.
Tensai's steampowered crab, with Fuzz's antennaed thing in the background
Group shot including a rather impressive whale skeleton
Mermaids galore
I came as an iceberg :-)
Dancing in diving gear is like synchronised swimming.

Be carefull with those time zones
April Fools had pretty much come and gone by the time I got my first message. Now it was obvious enough that it wasn't real, however due to time zone differences I had completely forgotten that April 1st was only just starting for some.
Here's a collection of some of the better examples from around the web today (because I should be studying):
