Evil Party and Doctor O's return

The Evil Party organised by Bart Mouse. Lost of people seem to be interested in evil, despite claims to the contrary.

Dickins and I, with Dickens shilling for tips.

Gabi in her Martini glass

The tiny dancers of Miss Skytower and Bart were later joined by Miss Davis. Nice to see more tinies in Babbage.

My lovely Christine as Poison Ivy.

Lord Moses

Softpaw and Starchaser

Groupshot! We had to raise the sim limit over 50 at one point as people were still trying to get in!

Miss Breezy as Death.

Jimmy as Chucky (though if it was Bob I would have said not much of a stretch)

Kat Montpark

And just as we were wrapping up this fine party in an abandoned observatory, who should bust back in demanding we all get out of his house? Such poor manners.

Tinies get Medieval

Raglanshire is having it's annual Medieval Fest starting this weekend.

Last year's outfit

While tinies may look cute and cudly they have have some of the nastiest and evilist senses of humour in SL.

Yes there's a working guillotine set up in the square.

A stranger in Steelhead

Is this the mysterious Ho Ping? Or someone connected with Cato Quan? Maybe he's just visiting the laundry next door.

The Rookery, Clockhaven

Some while ago I bought one of the last plots in Clockhaven on a whim. I've since been throwing together a small maze in my little pocket of the city.

The building consist of the Tudor building on the left through to the brown brick building on the right.

The arched alleyway and the entrance to the Pawnbrokers. It needs a name though. Maybe I.M. Hocking & Co.

Inside the Pawnbrokers.

It's still being built. I've set aside space for Christine to have an outlet of Rosehaven Recipes in there, I'm working on a flat for a tiny, and the connecting section to the Undercity.

But I'm enjoying building it. It's even been suggested to me that someone may wish to rent the upstairs rooms.

In the mean time I've starting work on Ho Ping's place in Steelhead Shanghai. Oriental building is new to me so this will be interesting.

It's an Evil Party!

It's an Evil Party!

Dance wickedly to the notorious stylings of Edward Pearse's evil twin, as the nogoodniks and ne'er-do-wells gather to compare evil plans, fiendish footwork and down dastardly drinks!

All are welcome! Just dress up as your evil self, evil alter ego, or favourite evil icon, to celebrate the good of being bad!

Four new tartans to the range

After much procrastination I have added 4 new tartans to my range of kilts.

The first two are the two Official Babbage tartans - the Dress and the Hunting tartans.

The second 2 are two unofficial Dress tartans that were two I came up with myself.

Official Dress Tartan

Official Hunting Tartan

Unofficial Dress Tartan

Available from the New Babbage shop as well as Caledon Victoria City, Steelhead, Steeltopia and Edison Hypatia.

Most amazing sculpt ever

Miss Emilly brought my attention to a sculpt display called the Grand Odalisque.

Possibly the most impressive sculpt I have seen in SL. For the most part sculpts are a mystery to me though the Aviatrix of Loch Avie is making them less so. I'm sure if I invested copious quantities of cash in various software applications I could do them with ease, or struggle through with free stuff like Wings for something more labour intensive.

However I don't think I'd ever be able to come up with something as impressive as this no matter how hard I tried.

I recommend visiting it in person. Damned impressive.

Worldshaker - A Book Review

Colbert Porpentine is a 15 year old boy living on the Upper Decks of the juggernaut Worldshaker, a mobile city some five miles long. He has been named the successor Supreme Commander by his granfather Sir Mormius Porpentine. His life of privilege tradition and rules begins to unravel when a girl from the Lower Decks - a Filthy - escapes and turns up in his room.

Aimed at the Young Adult readership there's some interesting ideas and a fun writing style mixed in with all this.

On top of that Australian steampunk fiction is rare enough so promoting the good stuff is worth it.

Hunt yourself up a copy.
